I've given my business this name in tribute to the two people who gave it to me—the people who supported me, helped me be brave, and inspired me. I love them both to beyond the edges of the universe.

Melie—short for 'Mealie Pudding'—is a traditional Scottish white pudding made with suet, oats, and spices. Only a dad with a wicked sense of humour would call his daughter Melie Pudding. This was the first iteration of my nickname.

My dad isn't here anymore, but he walks with me everywhere. I can't thank him enough for the start he gave me in life:

My partner took the pudding and replaced it with pants. He called me MeliePants, and I accepted it like it was the natural way of things—because it was. The pudding to the pants.
