Meet the Team
What is a MeliePants? Who wouldn't be curious?
MeliePants is a nickname and tribute to the people that gave me the courage and inspiration to set my own course in life.
Melie—for 'Mealie Pudding'— a traditional Scottish white pudding made with suet, oats and spices. Only a father with a sense of humour would call his daughter Melie Pudding.
Then a partner would take the pudding and replace it with pants. This is the best way I knew how to thank them both.
Designer / Developer
Amelia Swanney
Amelia (MeliePants) worked in engineering for nearly 20 years before finally taking the decision to go it alone.
Through her career she has led the implementation and development of technologies in the projects she's delivered.
Building websites, web applications and using software / languages to answer big questions have been the happiest times of her working years.
She's also an enthusiastic aspiring author of SciFI novels, and plays the fiddle badly.
Content Creator
Dom Brodie
Dom is a student at York University studying computing. He works at MeliePants part-time as a content creator.
He admits himself, he plays too many computer games and has recently completed the entirety of YouTube.
If MeliePants needs somebody out and about, Dom is the man with the plan. Let us know if you spot him skulking around campus with his nose in his phone.
